Man killed in western Wisconsin crash involving semi

The crash occurred just after 3 p.m. Thursday in Red Cedar Township

The driver of an SUV was killed Thursday in a crash involving a semitrailer truck in rural Dunn County in western Wisconsin.

The motorist, whose name has not been released, was driving south on County Road B just after 3 p.m. and collided with the semi heading west on Hwy. 12 in the intersection in Red Cedar Township, said Dunn County Sheriff Kevin Bygd.

The SUV driver was extracted from the vehicle by Menomonie Fire and Rescue and taken to a hospital, where he died, the sheriff said.

The truck driver was not injured.
