A man was killed in a house fire in Robbinsdale on Saturday night.
Police were called to the 3300 block of Halifax Avenue N. shortly before 9 p.m. when neighbors reported flames coming out the home's front windows, Robbinsdale police Sgt. Chris Woodhall said.
When they arrived, "the front of house was actively burning," he said.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and found the man's body inside the house, Woodhall said, adding that officials searched inside and found no one else.
The victim's name has not been released but his family has been notified, Woodhall said.
In addition to Robbinsdale, units from Golden Valley and West Metro Fire and Rescue responded.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
