Man killed in early morning shooting in south Minneapolis

A man was killed early Monday morning in a shooting in south Minneapolis, according to police.

Authorities responded to a report of a shooting at 12:17 a.m. Monday on the 3500 block of Chicago Avenue S. They found a man who apparently had been shot.

The victim as taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died soon after.

No arrests had been made as of 2:30 a.m., police said. Minneapolis police said they would provide more details later Monday morning.
