A man walking along a western Wisconsin highway about 3:40 a.m. Friday was struck and killed by a pickup truck, according to the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office.

Roger L. Forrest, 59, of Glenwood City, was hit while walking west on Highway G just west of 280th Street in the town of Glenwood. Forrest was struck by a westbound pickup driven by Gary L. Evenson, 38, of New Richmond, Wis.
The impact threw Forrest into a ditch, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
