Man found shot to death in south Minneapolis alley identified

The man found shot to death in a south Minneapolis alley on Friday has been identified

Derek Allen Holt, 24, of Minneapolis, died from a gunshot to his head, the Hennepin County medical examiner said Saturday. He was found about 11 a.m. Friday in an alley south of W. 39th Street between Blaisdell and Pillsbury Avenues.

Minneapolis police are investigating
