A 21-year-old man was found fatally shot early Sunday near a north Minneapolis intersection, authorities said. No arrests have been announced.
ShotSpotter technology detected the gunfire about 12:15 a.m. near 31st and Colfax Avenues N., police said.
When officers arrived, they located the man in the street and wounded, according to police.
Officers tended to the man’s wounds until paramedics arrived and took him to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where he died, police said.
The man’s identity has yet to be released. Police also have not addressed a motive for shooting.
“Officers will be in the area of the shooting in the coming days talking with community members about the shooting,” police spokesman Officer Corey Schmidt said in a statement. “The community is encouraged to talk with the officers about this crime or share any other concerns they may have.”
