Man found fatally shot in north Minneapolis; two others wounded

A man was found fatally shot in a north Minneapolis parking lot early Sunday morning, while two others were treated for non-life threatening gunshot wounds, police said.

A Minneapolis police officer said he heard shots around 4 a.m. in the area of Emerson Avenue and West Broadway. While responding to the area, a ShotSpotter notification was made of shots fired on the 1100 block of West Broadway.

Officers found the deceased man and were notified that two other people suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds had gone to area hospitals.

Officers and investigators canvassed the area and interviewed residents.No suspects are in custody.

The Medical Examiner's Office will release the identity of the deceased man later along with the nature and cause of death.
