Man found fatally shot in north Minneapolis street is ID'd

A suspect fled, police said, and there have been no arrests as of Saturday night.

Authorities on Saturday are trying to find whoever is responsible for the fatal shooting of a Brooklyn Center man the previous night in north Minneapolis.

Darrell E. Williams Jr., 25, was shot numerous times Friday night and left in the street, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.

Williams body was found by police officers in the 3300 block of Colfax Avenue N.

A suspect fled, police said, and there have been no arrests as of Saturday night.

Police added that they do not believe the violence is a random incident.
