Emergency crews responding to a Friday evening house fire in Andover found a 39-year-old man dead in the garage from causes unrelated to the blaze, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office said early Saturday.

Though the Sheriff's Office said the death is under investigation, no one has been arrested and authorities are not seeking anyone else in connection with the fire. Authorities also said there is no threat to the public.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office and Andover Fire Department were called to a house fire in the 13900 block of Nightingale Street NW. just after 8 p.m. Friday. The man, whose identity was not released pending the notification of family members, did not appear to have died as a result of the fire, according to a news release. The cause of the fire was still undetermined.
