A man was fatally stabbed Friday night in south Minneapolis, police said.
Police spokesman Sgt. William Palmer said officers were called to the 3700 block of Chicago Avenue S. just after 7 p.m. on the report of a stabbing. There they found the victim, who died shortly thereafter. His name has not been released.
Officers at the scene learned that another man had been stabbed and was at Hennepin County Medical Center.
A third man who is believed to be the suspect in the stabbings was arrested near the scene. He had head injuries when he was found and also was hospitalized at HCMC late Friday.
Both men were in surgery Friday night; their conditions were not available.
