Authorities have identified the person fatally shot Friday after a confrontation inside a north Minneapolis market as a man who lived in the neighborhood.
Givontae Walker, 24, was shot in the chest outside the Northside Food Market at 35th and Lyndale avenues N. about 9:30 p.m., according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office. His body was found on a residential lawn down the block, the examiner's office said.
No arrests have been made in the case, police said Tuesday.
Police said the incident, which started inside the market and moved onto the sidewalk, is believed to be between people who knew each other.
