A man was shot in north Minneapolis and died Sunday, two blocks from another killing a few weeks earlier, authorities said.

Police officers were called to the 1800 block of Hillside Avenue about 11:40 p.m. Saturday and discovered a wounded man in the entry to a home, said police spokesman John Elder.

The man did the next morning at North Memorial Medical Center, Elder said.

There have been no arrests, and the man's name has yet to be released.

Police have yet to say what led to the bloodshed.

Anyone with any information about the killing is urged to call police at 612-692-8477.

On Feb. 20, 32-year-old Johnathon J. Harris, of Minneapolis, was shot dead in his home in the 2000 block of Hillside. Demiteras A. Cooper, 37, of Minneapolis, was charged in Hennepin County District Court with aiding and abetting second-degree murder in the killing Thursday in the 2000 block of Hillside Avenue. The shooter has yet to be apprehended.
