Man dragged by light-rail train in Bloomington after falling

The man remains in a hospital Saturday with non-life threatening injuries.

A man remained hospitalized Saturday after he fell on light-rail tracks in Bloomington and was dragged by a train for several dozen feet. The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. Friday at the American Boulevard station. The man, who is in his mid-20s, lost his balance and fell from the station platform between two Hiawatha line light-rail cars, according to Metro Transit police. When authorities arrived, the man was conscious; he was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. His identity has not been released.
