Man dies in head-on crash Sunday morning

Killed in the accident was Patrick Lee Owens, 46, of Redby, who was driving eastbound in a Chevrolet truck on Hwy. 11 when he hit Sherry Lein, 60, of Williams, who was traveling in the other direction.

A man died when his truck veered over the centerline and collided head-on with another vehicle on Hwy. 11 near Williams about 8 a.m. Sunday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Killed in the accident was Patrick Lee Owens, 46, of Redby, who was driving eastbound in a Chevrolet truck on Hwy. 11 when he hit Sherry Lein, 60, of Williams, who was traveling in the other direction.

Lein, who was driving a Ford Escape, was taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D., with noncritical injuries.

Williams, with a population of less than 200, is in Lake of the Woods County.
