A 20-year-old man suspected of burglarizing multiple homes throughout Maple Grove and Coon Rapids was charged this week by the Hennepin County attorney's office.

Jacob Shultz, who lists addresses in Maple Grove and Coon Rapids, was charged with five counts of first-degree burglary Monday from five burglaries in Maple Grove that took place from January 2014-January 2015.

He was arrested by Coon Rapids police on Feb. 25 after officers responded to a burglary there. Investigators then linked Shultz to 14 burglaries in Coon Rapids and five in Maple Grove, adding that he allegedly targeted unlocked homes.

Shultz was also charged in Anoka County earlier this month with multiple counts of first-degree burglary.
