A man has been arrested in Minneapolis in connection with a November homicide in Portland, Maine.
The local U.S. Marshals Violent Crimes Task Force arrested 23-year-old Abdirahman Haji-Hassan in Minneapolis on Dec. 19, according to a release from the Portland Police Department.
Information about the arrest was not made public until Friday.
Haji-Hassan was charged in connection with the death of Richard Lobor, 23, who was found shot to death Nov. 21 in a Portland apartment.
The Portland Press Herald reported Friday that both men had previous criminal records.
Charged with being a fugitive from justice, Haji-Hassan has waived his right to extradition and will be transported back to Maine, according to the release.
