A 70-year-old man was found unconscious at the bottom of his swimming pool in Tonka Bay Sunday afternoon, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office reported.

The unidentified man was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. No condition report was available Sunday night.

Rescue workers responded to the home about 5 p.m., according to Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Lisa Kiava. The man had been swimming in the pool by himself at a home on Gideons Point Road.

The Sheriff's Office said a relative found him at the bottom of the pool. The relative and a neighbor pulled the man from the pool and began CPR.

The Sheriff's Office is investigating.
