Man, 49, held in suspicious death of woman in Richfield

A Richfield man is being held in a suspicious death that occurred in a city apartment building Wednesday.

Police responded to a 911 call at about 10:15 a.m. at 7720 Penn Av. S. and found a dead 42-year-old woman. Officers arrested a 49-year-old man who lives at the same address, according to public records.

The man is being held at the Hennepin County jail. Richfield police are releasing no more information at this time.
