Man, 46, killed at north Mpls. bus shelter is identified

Authorities on Monday released the identity of the man who was fatally stabbed at a north Minneapolis bus shelter.

Evander L. Partee, 46, of Minneapolis, was stabbed in the chest Friday night at the shelter at 18th and Lyndale Avenues N., according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.

A 48-year-old man surrendered the next day and remains jailed in the killing. He has yet to be charged.

The shelter is located toward the back of a Cub Foods and across the street from a mosque and public housing.
