Madonna, Beyonce join aid efffort

Beyonce and Madonna have been added as performers to Friday's multi-network "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon, and Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and former President Bill Clinton are among the participants. It starts at 7 p.m. and will be shown on all the major networks.

CHANHASSEN CONCERT

A Benefit Concert for Haitian Relief, "Hearts for Haiti," will be held 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday, in the Chanhassen High School auditorium, 2200 Lyman Blvd., Chanhassen. Trish Van Pilsum (Channel 9 TV) will emcee the event. Music by vocalists Robert Robinson, Timothy Frantzich, Jerry Steele, Jamie Moore and Joanne Wintroath; jazz-gospel pianist Momoh Freeman, and the Holy Family Catholic High School choir.

Tickets are $20 donations for adults and $10 for children 12 and younger.

MINNESOTA GUARD HELPS WITH RELIEF

Members of the Minnesota Air National Guard have been flying relief missions in Haiti for the past week. Fifty-three airmen from the guard's 133rd Airlift Wing were deployed last Friday to Puerto Rico to support operations in Central and South America. But when they arrived, they were placed on alert to operate relief flights.
