Lynx update: The Lynx travel to Tulsa, where they have won 11 straight games. That said, Tulsa is one of just four teams to beat the Lynx this season. The Lynx avenged a June 21 home loss to the Shock by winning in Tulsa on July 19, a game in which Maya Moore scored 30 of her 32 points in the second half as the Lynx, down 13 at one points, came back to win 79-72. That was also the game in which Lindsay Whalen was poked in the eye, forcing her to miss one game. F Rebekkah Brunson had a double-double in that game. G Anna Cruz, who missed Friday's game with a sprained right ankle, is questionable for this game. G Seimone Augustus (knee surgery) is out.
Shock update: The Shock, playing the string out in Tulsa after announcing a move to Dallas next season, have not been the same since Skylar Diggins was lost for the season when she was injured very late in the game in Tulsa's victory over Seattle June 28. That was the Shock's eighth straight victory. Since then? 2-8. Tulsa has lost five straight games and has fallen from first place in the Western Conference to third. In three games vs. the Lynx this season, G Riquna Williams has averaged 15.0 points and 3.3 assists, and F Plenette Pierson has averaged 14.0 points and 6.6 rebounds.
