Lynx-San Antonio game preview

Preview: The Lynx (27-6) will try to tie the WNBA record for most victories in a season. Seattle won 28 games in 2010 as did Los Angeles twice, in 2000 and 2001.

Lynx at a glance: This is the final game of the regular season for the defending WNBA champions, and ends a seven-game stretch during which they played six games on the road. ... The Lynx are coming off an 89-66 victory at Phoenix on Friday. They were 10-for-22 on three-pointers, led by guard Erin Thorn, who made five of eight shots from behind the arc. ... The Lynx are averaging 20.9 assists per game, a pace which would set a single-season league record.

San Antonio at a glance: The Silver Stars are 2-11 in their past 13 games vs. the Lynx, including the 2011 playoffs. ... San Antonio (20-13) had a 12-game winning streak in the middle of the season, followed by five losses in a row before going 3-2 in its past five games. ... Forward Sophia Young (16.3 points per game) and guard Becky Hammon (14.7) are among four players averaging in double figures.
