The Lynx meet Washington tonight at 7 p.m. at Target Center after five weeks off for the Olympics. Of course, there was no time off for gold medalists Lindsay Whalen, Seimone Augustus and Maya Moore.

The Lynx cut Julie Wojta today to get to 11 players on the active roster. Wojta signed on July 9 and played in one game, getting two rebounds in four minutes.

The team is hosting a party on the Target Field plaza before tonight's game starting at 4:30 p.m.

Kent Youngblood had the advance in this morning's paper on tonight's game, along with an info box.

Reusse's column on the Golden Girls was in Thursday's print edition.

And, finally, here's a nice look at the Lynx and what's ahead.

Jason Gonzalez will cover tonight's game for the Star Tribune ... in case y'all are wondering about Roman, he is out for a couple more weeks after surgery to repair a torn Achilles' tendon. That's right, sportswriters are on the DL once in a while, too.
