Lynx at a glance: The Lynx (10-4) are in first place in the Western Conference with the WNBA's best record. ... A franchise record four Lynx played in the All-Star Game on Saturday in San Antonio and combined for 43 points. Seimone Augustus, who was named Western Conference player of the week, and the other All-Stars -- Maya Moore, Lindsay Whalen and Rebecca Brunson -- have started every game and average between 15.9 and 13.4 points. ... The Lynx play four of their next five games at home.

Sparks at a glance: Since splitting the first two games of the season with the Lynx, Los Angeles (6-8) has lost its best player and coach. Center Candace Parker suffered a torn lateral meniscus in her right knee on June 26 and hasn't played since. She is expected to be out about two more weeks. The Sparks were 4-2 going into the game Parker was hurt. When they lost that game and the next three to drop to 4-6, Jen Gillom was fired as coach. Assistant Joe (Jellybean) Bryant, Kobe's father, replaced her. The Sparks' record since then is 2-2.
