Lynx at a glance: Minnesota (10-10) has lost three games in a row after the all-star break and the last four games at home. Five players average between 13.8 and 10 points but the team doesn't have a real go-to scorer. Defense also is a huge problem; opponents are averaging 82.3 points and shooting 44.9 percent from the field, both the second best statistics in the WNBA. Need a positive? Rookie center Quanitra Hollingsworth has scored 12 and 17 points in the past two games.

Sun at a glance: Connecticut (10-9) is third in the Eastern Conference. Asjha Jones, a 6-3 forward, is averaging 17.1 points and 6.1 rebounds. Ex-Gopher Lindsay Whalen is the point guard; she averages 11.3 points and 4.1 assists. The Sun are shooting only 40 percent from the field, a WNBA low. Connecticut has three foreign players, including 6-4 center Sandrine Gruda (France) and 5-8 guard Erin Phillips (Australia) who start. The Sun is 7-1 in its last eight games against the Lynx.
