Interested in adoption? One place to look is the Lutheran Social Service, which is offering an informational meeting today about adoption opportunities.

Lutheran Social Service, a non-profit which helps families adopt children both locally and from outside the U.S., will hold the meeting at the Center for Changing Lives (Room 182), 2400 Park Ave., in Minneapolis at 6 p.m. For more information or to register, visit www.minnesotaadoption.org

Adoption information meetings are both free of charge and without obligation. Meetings are regularly held throughout Minnesota.

Meetings are about two hours long and present information on the agency, the adoption process and specific adoption programs.

Adoption has been a vital part of the social ministry of Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota since its founding in 1865, according to the agency's Website. An estimated 18,000 children have found families of all denominations through the work of the LSS Adoption.
