Love misses practice

Wolves forward has an MRI done on sore left knee

March 8, 2011 at 9:04PM

Greetings. Youngblood here. I was at practice today. Jerry Zgoda will cover the team in its game with Indiana tomorrow night.

There was a little news today. Kevin Love missed practice to have a sore left knee checked out. Love apparently fell during the game, banging the knee. While he was able to finish the game -- and didn't appear to be in pain during interviews after the game ended -- the joint swelled up overnight.

The Wolves don't think it is serious, but wanted to make sure. Coach Kurt Rambis sounded like he expects Love to play tomorrow.

Love had some soreness in his knees checked out during training camp, but it didn't prove to be a big deal. I would be surprised if this is a serious problem, but more will be known tomorrow.

In other news:

--Wes Johnson, whose play was limited Monday because he was still weak after being sick, is close to 100 percent again.

--Anthony Randolph left the game Monday due to illness and was not at practice Tuesday. He also went to the doctor, and his status for tomorrow would probably be doubtful.

That's about it. Have a good afternoon.
