Kevin Love didn't practice today, but he said that stiff and swollen knee is feeling better and he said he definitely plans to play against pal Al Jefferson and the Jazz Friday night at Target Center.
"I felt a lot better this morning," he said. "Still a lot of tightness, but I'll be a go tomorrow."
Love played on that hurting knee Wednesday and reached his 52nd consecutive double-double -- surpassing Moses Malone for the longest in the league since the 1976 ABA/NBA merger -- by halftime.
Asked how much relief he felt off his shoulders after surpassing Malone's 51-game streak, he said, "A little bit, but we're still here talking about it. It is still there, but I'm not really focused on it too much. I really wasn't the whole time. I think that's why I was able to do what I did. If I can keep it rolling, so be it. But if I get stopped, which is going to happen eventually, it is what it is."
Lazar Hayward didn't play Wednesday and didn't practice Thursday because he remains ill from what Kurt Rambis suggests is something Hayward and at least three other players ate at a Philly cheesesteak place on last week's road trip.
