Looks like we've got that little Gulf oil spill under control

I am relieved to learn that much of the estimated 4.9 million barrels of oil spilled in the Gulf of Mexico is gone already and that most of the remaining oil is in a highly diluted form, according to a government report ("Many skeptical of new oil report," Aug. 5). The remaining 1.3 million barrels, or 26 percent, should be no problem. JERRY KEMP, LONG LAKE, MINN.
