Kevin Love wore a black starter's jersey at this morning's shootaround at Staples Center, an indication he will get his first start one week after returning from that season-opening broken hand.
Love has three double-doubles in four games off the bench. Kurt Rambis has maintained he'll adjust the starting lineup for the immediate future based on matchups.
The Lakers' combo of 7-footer Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol gives the Wolves problems whether Love, Jefferson and Gomes are their frontcourt or Gomes, Jefferson and Damien Wilkins are.
And Ryan Hollins probably ain't the answer, either.
Expect Wilkins to return to a reserve role tonight, which, of course, is Rambis' homecoming to a Lakers franchise where he spent most of his professional career.
Rambis led his new team through a workout yesterday at his old office, the Lakers' training facility in El Segundo.
Somebody asked him if it felt strange standing out there on the court with the Wolves.
"It wasn't weird standing with my team," Rambis said. "Maybe in this practice facility. It's changed. They've got a lot of banners and jerseys hanging up. Makes it awful bright and yellow in here."
