Lindsay Lohan was dumped from her next movie, which would probably have been her last movie anyway. This makes her role in "Machete" the place where her imdb credit list ends. Says US mag:

Supposedly she wasn't "bankable." That usually means "people won't pay money to see her," but people haven't wanted to see her in a movie for years. If she had been a tree in "Avatar," the movie would have made seven dollars and sixty-four cents.

Hollywood observers - i.e., various parasites who slip tips to media organizations - speculate that her erratic behavior had more to do with the firing. She doesn't appear in a daylight photo unless the phrase "Court date" is somehow attached, and the endless parade of falling-down photos outside of nightclubs would give any director pause.

If you're scoring this one at home, wondering when the endless parade of mistakes will end in something that actually resembles consequences, Ms. Lohan is supposed to appear in court May 4th for a deposition on her 2007 driving-while-bizarre escapade. She missed two previous dates for the depo, so something bad might happen if she flips off the court again.

In the movie, by the way, Lohan was supposed to play a graduate student on a desert island. Real graduate students on real desert islands doing research to stamp on crop diseases like Cocoanut Smut, thereby saving the island's economy, will never get 1/1000th the publicity Ms. Lohan gets. The only sensible remedy? Airlift all the paparazzi to desert islands, now.
