Locally reared indie-rock trio Now, Now is going to have a fun. summer – as in the band fun. The "We Are Young" No. 1 hitmakers picked the young Minnesotan band to open part of their tour in June. Among the 10 gigs where Now, Now will serve as openers are two biggies at the Terminal 5 in New York City on June 16-17, plus other shows in St. Louis, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. They should call that leg of the trek "The Bands You'll Never Find on Google Tour." Now, Now will then head out on another tour with buzzing Philadelphia trio Jukebox the Ghost, which will stop in at 7th Street Entry on July 9.

Led by poetic Blaine-reared songstress Cacie Dalager, Now, Now has been chugging along nicely since the March release of "Threads," their second full-length album and first for Death Cab for Cutie guitarist Chris Walla's label, Trans. You can certainly hear a Death Cab influence in "Thread," the single for which the band just issued this cool new video (shot by the same folks who filmed "Calgary" for Bon Iver).
