Name all the living things to be found in your yard at any time during the year. A dandilion for example. Or a Tiger Swallowtail butterfly, Canary Reed Grass, Colorado Blue Spruce, gray squirrel, green frog, carpenter ant, house sparrow, and so on. Names can be from today or last summer, whenever. I settle for simple names in some cases, willow, for example, without knowing exactly which three particular species of willow we have here. My total is 50, helped a great deal by mammals and amphibians from the swamp behind the house. (I didn't count bird species, wanting to know how I'd do on everything else.)
