Getting set for the Vikings-Cardinals game

November 7, 2010 at 3:25PM

We've settled in here at the press box in Mall of America Field at the Metrodome.

Players will be out shortly for early stretching and warmups and we will have inactives around 10:30 a.m. central. At 2-5, the Vikings desperately need a victory as they reach the halfway point of their season.

Vikings coach Brad Childress obviously was at the center of the storm this week after releasing fan favorite Randy Moss without first informing ownership.

Childress also had a heated exchange with wide receiver Percy Harvin on Friday after questioning his effort. Wide receivers coach George Stewart had to physically calm Harvin at the end of the argument.

Harvin admitted this week that he was disappointed and angry with the team's decision to cut Moss. Harvin had become extremely close to Moss in their four weeks as teammates.

Harvin did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and was "extremely limited" in Friday's practice because of a left ankle sprain. He is listed as questionable.

We'll be back in a while with inactives.
