LinkedIn spruces up layout

LinkedIn wants a new connection

As far as its app, stodgy old LinkedIn has come a long way in the past few years. But it still could use some sprucing up. Boom: In the next few weeks, its owners will debut a redesigned app that puts it more in line with the sleek design of Twitter and Facebook. In fact, its layout will look familiar, broken down by these tabs: Home, Me, Messages, My Network and Search. Now if they could just do something about those annoying "please add me to your LinkedIn network" e-mail messages.
