Already down Rhett Ellison, their best blocking tight end, the Vikings can't afford to lose any more run-game muscle heading into Sunday's NFC wild-card game against Seattle and its No. 1-ranked run defense. So it was a good thing when fullback Zach Line returned to practice today after missing Wednesday's practice because of an illness.
We'll have the official injury report after practice. During the open portion of practice, only Adrian Peterson (low back) and backup nose tackle Kenrick Ellis (ankle) did not practice. Our previous post touched on how Peterson is just being rested and is good to go for Sunday, according to coach Mike Zimmer.
Also notable is nose tackle Linval Joseph (foot) practicing for the second straight day.
