State Sen. Warren Limmer said Tuesday be might run for Minnesota GOP chairman.

"I'm seriously considering it," said Limmer, R-Maple Grove.

Limmer said there are "doubts" whether the already announced candidates have a broad base of support necessary to unify the party.

Former party chairman Tony Sutton resigned earlier this month amid concerns he had not done enough to wipe out the party's debt or curb party spending.
