Light-rail trains will be replaced with buses Wednesday night in downtown Minneapolis as Metro Transit will conduct track and station maintenance.

The work affecting both the Blue and Green lines will take place from 9:30 p.m. Wednesday until 3:30 a.m. Thursday. Buses will fill in between Target Field and U.S. Bank Stadium stations.

The affected stations include Target Field, Hennepin Avenue-Warehouse District, Nicollet Mall, Government Plaza and U.S. Bank Stadium.

Replacement buses will run on a schedule similar to trains, but trips can take a few minutes longer, Metro Transit said.
