Life is now!

Kathy Plumb could give the Energizer Bunny a run for it's money!!

Life is Now was her email address and her motto! How could someone who was diabetic, had her brother's kidney, another's heart and lungs, missing a leg from below the knee down, and part of her fingers become a motivational speaker? Oh, I forgot, she was also blind!

This woman came back from her death bed on at least 3 occasions.

Our congregation at Robbinsdale United Church of Christ idolized her and she was also one of the Eleven Who Care Winners several years ago.

In spite of all her ailments she continued a deep belief in God and life. She truly was a living example of what a good Christian was--living, forgiving and loving. She was always for the underdog--be it Woman's rights, gay rights, or the homeless. She made you think and rethink.

When volunteers were needed--you couldn't say 'no' to Kathy--she was a tireless phone tree all by herself! She always had time for you and never whined about her aches and pains. Just the facts. David Plumb--of Plumb and Plumb--the team, was her soul mate and care-giver.

Bless him for sharing her with us. Driving and nursing her. She left us in May with a huge legacy of Life, Love and Spirituality! Live through the pain! Heaven her reward!
