I urge lawmakers of both parties to work together for the good of our country. Our Constitution was composed by learned men of every political persuasion who worked together. Each gave up some points to create a wonderful document. Can't our legislators understand that by refusing to cooperate, and by belittling one another, they are destroying the prestige and power of our country? GRACE WIGGEN, COLUMBIA Heights
