Shadow, the Minneapolis police dog who was stabbed several times while trying to apprehend his second suspect ("Hunt comes up empty," March 31), deserves a great deal of credit. Politicians make our laws, but it's the police, including the K-9 cops, who put their lives at risk to enforce those laws.
