Letter of the day: Talking about blame isn't taking the blame

The Tuesday article regarding Dominic Jones states that he is taking responsibility for his actions. How? By appealing his conviction on fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charges? By not assisting prosecutors with the cases against the other individuals involved? By leaving his mother to care for his 2-year-old and the child's mother in Ohio? My criteria for taking responsibility don't include getting out of jail for several hours a day so you can play football with high school kids. No wonder collegiate athletes think they can get away with bad behavior.
