How can Gov. Tim Pawlenty close the deal with presumptive presidential nominee John McCain on the second spot on the Republican ticket? Answer: Offer to do double duty as secretary of transportation, so he can do for the country what he did for Minnesota.

Or perhaps he'll close that bridge when he comes to it.
