Letter of the Day (Oct. 9): Vikings stadium

October 8, 2011 at 9:08PM

Thanks for reminding us that Zygi Wilf's real profession is as a real-estate developer, not a football team owner ("For Wilf, the toughest deal," Oct. 2).

His agenda is now clear. There's a huge amount of potential commercial land to develop in Arden Hills, and virtually nothing additional for him to profit from in downtown Minneapolis. So, of course he isn't interested in building a new stadium downtown.

If this man from New Jersey truly cared about the best location for a new stadium, it would be the place that would serve the public and the fans -- a place with excellent public transportation, accessible by foot and bicycle, plentiful lodging and great restaurants.

That place is Minneapolis.
