Paul Wellstone had a holistic approach toward life, which drew people from all political and religious perspectives close to him. Paul loved people, and people loved him.

He not only inspired progressive legislation, practical tools of community organizing, and loyalty to family and friends, but also poetry, stories and songs. When you put them all together, you have Paul and Sheila Wellstone.

They were inseparable, and we were in relationship with them both. They were our John Lennon and Yoko Ono of Minnesota politics.

We each feel a sense of ownership of their legacy, because we're still in love with Paul and Sheila. They touched us all in a very personal way.

As Paul said: "All politics is personal." He also said: "We all do better when we all do better."

It's now been a decade since they've been gone. We miss them greatly.

May their song be forever sung. Stand up for the people! Stand up for the children! Stand up for each other! Be the change you believe in!
