Did anyone else feel like a proud parent while watching this year's All Star Baseball Game? Not only did Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau and Joe Nathan play well, they showed respect for the game and its heroes. Who could have been more gracious than Justin Morneau -- he won the Home Run Derby, but gave the glory to Josh Hamilton! You have to love a guy who calls himself "the slowest runner on the field," who makes Easy Mac in the clubhouse microwave, who plays hard and behaves himself.

Felony arrests and objectionable behavior seem to be rampant in today's world of sports. Aren't we lucky to have "the Big Kanuck" and guys like him on our team!

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
