Letter of the day: Michael Steele has a road map for Republican dominance

If the GOP ever intends to regain political control, it must stop catering to the radical right-wing elements of the party. A consistent platform of smaller government, conservative economic policies, strong defense and personal liberty would crush the socialist policies of the left. However, this message is sullied by the family values camp, whose hatred toward unmarried women and homosexuals turns off tens of millions of Americans who would rush to the right if only Republicans took down the exclusionary policies that limit entry into their "big tent."
