Letter of the day: Let's unite in celebration of Independence Day

July 4th is the one major holiday on which we need not be careful to respect religious or political differences. It is a holiday that Americans of all colors, all creeds and all political views can celebrate together. Anything you can do with the colors red, white and blue is probably going to be acceptable, so decorate your house, lawn and, yes, even yourself.
