The voters of North Dakota have spoken, and rightly so ("N.D. votes to drop Fighting Sioux nickname," June 13) . Now, how about "The Mighty Sioux," "The Proud Sioux," or "The Valiant Sioux"? Would one of these nicknames have avoided all the controversy in the first place if adopted back in 2005?
