It's easy, if you know where to look.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. And you're single, with no date plans on the books.

The answer? Try looking up.

If you're heading out to the local cantina, restaurant, coffee shop or other gathering spot this weekend, keep your smartphone in your pocket. And leave the tablet at home (if you possibly can.)

Kinda hard these days to meet that special someone and strike up a conversation that may lead to a date when your eyes are fixated on a screen. Look up instead. Valentine's Day possibilities may suddenly appear.

Plus, our local establishments will thank you. With this Russian Front-style cold weather keeping people inside, they all could use a little more of the business that might result.

P.S. Your sore neck and tired eyes will thank you, too.
